The Louisiana Nursing Home Association* turns 50 this year and they are celebrating in style! Their Annual Convention is being held at the New Orleans Riverside Hilton, September 24-26.

The three day event will showcase over 100 exhibitors and includes a golf tournament and a tennis tournament, an awards luncheon and president’s reception, and an opportunity for voting delegates to select a board of directors. There will also be dozens of programs for administrators, nurses, social workers, activities directors and dietary managers. Some of the highlights will include presentations on labor and employment law, Medicaid fraud, genealogical tracking, and holistic medicine. There will also be programs covering emergency preparedness, managing pandemic flu, and strategies to reduce foodborne illnesses. An open forum with state officials is scheduled on Monday, September 24^th.
